The Nature of American Imperialism & the Election of Obama

The Nature of American Imperialism & the Election of Obama
By Professor Aleme Eshete The election of Obama is a great victory that fills our heart with joy. But as I said in my last mail on the subject I have no illusion as what Obama could do to change the nature of American imperialism in the world and in particular in Ethiopia to advance our liberation and restore our liberty, independence, sovereignty, our territorial integrity and our pride. What I recommend is that the Ethiopian Diaspora in the States should write to Obama reminding him of our condition, and the true condition of Kenya, and entertain him to find a way and means to bring a change to our condition. He has marginally touched upon the subject in his speech yesterday. Our admiration for America's democracy that has proved the liberation of the black race by his election to the most powerful chair in the world will every day be undermined as long as their are 70 million Ethiopians tortured, killed, arrested and kicked around by scoundrels that American imperialism has put in power since seventeen years and for an indefinite era. Every member of the Ethiopian Diaspora should write every day of the year , 365 days a year for as long as he remains in power to press upon him the sad inhuman condition that Ethiopian at home and the millions disfranchised all over the world are suffering.//-/-/
